Happy Easter!

  • Community Update
Hi everyone,

On behalf of your federal, provincial and municipal representatives, we wish you a happy long weekend! In different circumstances, this would be a great opportunity to spend time with family and friends but to reduce the spread of COVID-19, we urge you to stay home.

Protecting the health and safety of our citizens is a top priority for all levels of government. Canada is among the best-prepared countries in the world to respond to the situation we’re facing, and we will get through what comes next together. We know that the economic consequences of this fight against COVID-19 are and will be heavy. Nonetheless, we are working together and respectively to put in place a series of progressive measures responding to current challenges we are facing and preventing the escalation of economic and health-related problems.

The COVID-19 outbreak continues to evolve rapidly, but there are things you can do to be prepared in case you or someone in your house becomes ill. We would therefore like to direct you to our government’s websites canada.ca/coronavirusontario.ca, and ottawapublichealth.ca for the latest directives, follow developments and/or learn about new measures and information concerning COVID-19 at the federal, provincial and local levels.

Together, we will continue to do what is necessary to support workers, businesses, and each person as we deal with COVID-19.

There are a variety of community and social services available to help residents of Vanier-Ottawa in need. For our Senior population or adults with disabilities a portal can connect you with essential services and organizations.

Any resident needing social services can contact 211 to be connected to the appropriate resources.

In order to flatten the curve, it is very important that you practice social and physical distancing, wash your hands frequently and follow public health guidelines. The more these safety measures are respected, the more effective they will be, and the less we will live with the impact of the pandemic. Thank you for doing your part.

Do not hesitate to contact our respective offices, we are always here to answer your questions.

Thank you and remember that staying at home will save lives.
